just finished carb breakdown and clean, bike runs and idles real nice. Put in first, and as I let out the clutch, bike dies. every time. What gives?

It thinks your sidestand is down, if it's just dying. If it's stalling because the clutch isn't free, that's different. You haven't given us much to go by.

Yes i'm throttling up as I clutch out.

Bigfitz, What do you mean it thinks the kickstand is down. theirs a kill switch for that?

Anyway, I don't know what else I can give you. The bike starts and idles well, has good throttle response, but dies as I try to ride it. It revs up fine so I don't think its a fuel problem.

Does it die as soon as you put it into gear, or can you put it into 1st and it's still running, but dies on letting the clutch out. Also you are trying all this in 1st right?

There's a switch for the sidestand, one for the clutch lever and one for Neutral. The circuit is designed to NOT let you ride away with the sidestand down.

I shift into first, then the engine dies as a begin to release the clutch. It seems to be that it dies when there is any stress on the engine.

well, it was getting flooded so I left it overnight. Fueled it up, added seafoam. now it runs and drives. Not really sure what happened, but im smiling.
