so, im going to get the 750R steering stop fixed here shortly so i decided to clean up the 550 while i was waiting for my welder to come pick it up...

put the fresh battery in, crank open the enrichment circuit, turn on the petcock to prime, stick the propane torch in the air box (on of course) and start cranking...

after about 8 minutes of it sputtering and cranking and sputtering again, it started up. it didnt seem to run much faster than my lawn mower but i let it warm up and soon all seemed good with the world...

i shut it off, rolled it out of the garage and started it right back up again!

i grabbed the helmet, the gloves and off i went!

i put about 4 miles on it maybe but boy was i havin' fun! it was cold as snot but i enjoyed it. maybe i should get insurance and plates on it before i have too much fun and get caught avoiding Aunt Jennie fees....

    here it is again...

it was a quick down and dirty, run it enough to recharge the battery after all of the 'starter spinning' i did to get it to fire...

my buddy just picked up my 750R so we can look at the steering stop tomorrow. id prefer to have IT running for riding since im a bit too big for the 550...

maybe ill spin it around the neighborhood again in a couple of days...
