    Hello once again everyone.

Thanks alot for the info on the battery. Have it charging right now. Mean while i'd like to do some cosmetic work on some scratches i have on the hard luggage bags that came with the bike. These seem to be fairly rare to get your hands on from what i've read in the forums and i'd like to put some work into them and make them look as good as i can. Can't afford a nice paint job on them though. I was thinking of getting some high gloss black plastic paint and going through the scratches myself.

Anyone have any other good idea's?

    Thanks

Unless you paint it yourself - completely, you'll have some trouble matching the black. The faded black won't match right.

If they ARE black, you can get black 'car wax' that will fill the scratches.
I think I bought it @ Autozone. Believe it was made by turtle wax.
Black should be easy to come by and work great.

Comes with a stick of 'lipstick' that fills the scratches, then you wax it with the included color wax. Worked GREAT on my old car. Lasted too.

Paint job in a bottle... works great if you have small blemishes. Just use about four or five coats of the wax, then wax over it again with regular wax.

Love it guys, i'm auctually doing my best to restore this old beast to new. May have to do a ring job on one or more of the pistons depending on how the compression test goes tomorrow. Should have a new paint job on the tank in the coming weeks. I'll have to put some pictures up when i'm finished with the bike
