We have several aging members on our site here so I thought I might post this. I think it would look great on one of your 550's bigfitz. Hopefully your a few years down the road from that though

Thats odd. The link works fine for me. All joking aside though most of us will have to make the decision to go trike or stop riding sometime in our life. For those of you making that decision much sooner that I will be this might be a good option.

And all kidding aside, I'm still not old until I say so.

However; that being said, that is without a doubt THE COOLEST alternative to those overblown trike conversions that I've ever seen!

NEAT concept! (link working now, sorry.)

Put it away, you got another weekend in you. Yesterday I came up on a chopper guy riding with his long gray hair blowing in the wind, from under his kerchief bandanna. When I got up next to him I got a good look at him. He was a fossil, riding out of a Peter Fonda movie. Chin settled onto his chest, no meat left on his bones. Probably wasted his whole life workin' in the mill. Get your bike cleaned up, shut up and ride. Bill

    HAHA!!

Wow 88. My Grandpa just turned 90 and we are trying to get him to stop driving his cage. He rear ended someone and totaled his car. When my dad asked him if he had thought about hanging up he keys he said "why would I do that" and proceeded to buy an SUV. He also has a tendency to fall asleep at stop lights.

I would say it is really up to the rider. He must be doing better than most 88 year olds if he is still even riding. He is definitely doing better than my grandpa. If your concerned it might not hurt showing him that trike setup. I know that is what I'll be looking for when I'm that age.

I think I mentioned looking at a bike where the guy told me he thought he was getting too old to ride - he is 79! I'll be happy to ride to that age.

My father got in contact with me about a month ago after a 28 year gap.
Turns out he rode in his late teens he sent me a few pictures of himself on a BSA and a Norton he restored in his middle teens probably around 16,17 before emigrating to Oz in the early sixties.
He went and got his licence back at 50 and now rides a VFR750 in his 60's.
I will ride as long as I can and I'm pretty sure my family will think I should stop long before I've even thought of it.
But wouldn't it be great to ride alongside your grandchildren?
My brother rides as well wonder if it could be genetic? because we didn't have it in our home environment.
Thought these looked like the go as a 3 wheeler http://images.drive.com.au/drive_images ... o_m2_m.jpg
Chuck Yeager is he still flying? Went to an airshow in my teens and Douglas Bader was still flying, its not the body, its the spirit that keeps things going sometimes.Although it was common knowledge "old tin legs" was not cleared to fly no-one had the heart or the guts to tell him he couldn't.
