I'm toying with the idea of not only stretching but also widening my 650's swingarm. I know it is possible, anything is possible, but just wanting a few thoughts or possible suggestions on how to go about doing this. I've seen post on stretching but don't seem to find any on widening. I'll need to go atleast 3.5" wider than stock to get the "look" I'm going for. Just not sure how moving the shaft out 1.75" will work. I'm also making the bike into a rigid so I don't have to worry about up and down movement of the swingarm. Any thoughts???

When you get the arm wide enough for you, you'll find the wheel then isn't going to be wide enough to accommodate the tire you're eyeing. Even with the arm outta the way, you'll be hard pressed to get more than a 160 on there, if that.

Getting the wheel centred will be the hardest bit......assuming you actually want to ride it

I'm actually planning on running a 180/55 17 on it, the wheel is a modified 2000 R6 rear. A buddy that is a machinist is moding it out for me as we speak, should be ready soon. Plumber, that's sick, just what I'm looking for. What's the measurments between the rails on your bike and how hard is it to change the tire out?

my rails are at 280mm centres or about 11" in old money. Changing the tyre is no problems
