I had the same trouble uploading pics. Bring your pics to paint and resize them. I think 500 x 500 is max. Anything over that is a no-go.
Been waiting to see what you're doing for a while now. Glad you're finally able to start on it.

If you want to use larger pictures post them to a photo hosting site like photobucket.com or similar and then paste the url in the text of the message you are posting.

Hopefully you dont have a lot of stop and go traffic where you live. Can you say roasted nuts. Also in the event of a crash you can plan on the bike giving you a free sex change. Theres no way id ride that bike. Also I am a fan of tastefully modded bikes but if the owner's goal was to completely destroy a classic then they hit the nail on the head. The hack job on that frame is second to none.

I like the drop seat look as well, but you'll have to stretch the rear. There's just not enough room in there with the stock wheelbase. It'll be easier on your 550 with a chain than it would be with a shaft drive bike. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure in the event of a crash, there's probably bigger things to worry about than a "free sex change". I also like drop seat bikes. That one may have a little too much drop for my liking. I agree, Kev. Definitely needs some stretch.

I feel your pain, Its like old plumbing, you loosen 1 fitting and the rest of the whole frikken system leaks. you break 1 bolt and you can expect more. On the bright side looking forward to seeing your project. Post pics as you go along. Im in the process of Bobbing my 550 Maxim also , just started and waiting for parts to come in from eBay. So far I got an R1 rear swing arm, monoshock, R1 seat, waiting for a rear hyd brake system, rear wheel and axle, sprocket and rotor from an R1 It should stretch the back half about 6 inches, my only concern is the offset sprockets, I have to build a jackshaft to line the chain up, I picked up a couple R1 sprockets a 520 and a 530. Im not sure how Im going to do this but Im gonna do it. Oh and a couple of 59 caddy tail lights coming out under the seat, should look bitchen I thought about running a couple of Gatling guns out the front with some HIDS headlights in the centers but might be a bit much. good luck on your project.
