OEM clutch cable; chacal's pn HCP2704: OEM Clutch Cable, for all XJ650RJ Seca models, 47" long.

It was brand new about 3100 miles ago; there is nothing wrong with it at all.

I swapped it off my '81 550 Seca because a 750 Seca cable works better as a shorter replacement for the stocker than the 650 cable.

FREE all you have to pay is shipping; but there is a catch: You have to actually NEED it.

No fair claiming it just to have a spare, or because it might work on your '85 Max-X. Nope.

Gotta be a Seca 650 owner; with a frayed, worn, mismatched, chewed or otherwise in serious need of replacing clutch cable.

CONVINCE US. I will give it to whomever a general consensus of the group decides; I won't even be the sole arbitor.

Yes, that's what my SECA needs to come to life again, aside from most likely a complete carb rebuild...

Anyway, good idea with the freebie... I did this on my computer website.

One guy was giving away a first generation IPOD Nano, which my wife was looking for a cheap but decent MP3 player for working out...

So I wrote a poem for the contest, all about how much I hate APPLE, IPODS, etc... but how my wife needed to fit into a dress for her sisters wedding.

Needless to say, with my sarcastic humor, I nailed the competition and won.

I think you should do the same Fitz!

I could use it but as of right now I don't NEED it. I want to put the original bars back on my bike and will need the original cable, but that' project is a long way off. If no one else pipes up I'll take it!

the one i have now is quite able
be that as it may
i simply will say
the best deals are under the table

i could use a new speedo cable
as of right now i'm not able
to see just how fast
or count miles passed
on the speediest bike in my stable

Just to give you an idea what I mean by writing a poem... on my computer overclocking website, I put a poem in for a free ipod nano. Background info : I hate everything Apple/Mac, and if you don't know who Steve Jobs is - he founded Apple.

Overclocking is like suping up a bikes motor/performance.
Oh and the guy that gave it away was named Sabermetrics.

Read on, and love it.

Ode to the Nano

I think I may be about to take a risk.
Like attempting to eat 11 day old tomato bisque.
But this is not really an ode to the nano.
As I hate Apple, just like I hate Bono.

You see, I am trying to get this for my wife;
As she truly is, the love of my life.
She wishes to lose weight for her sister's wedding,
That dress she bought last year, and the fitting she's dreading.

For I dislike everything that is Mac.
For style and overclocking, this they do lack.
They're bland, ugly, and full of pure junk.
For me to use an apple product, I'd have to be drunk.

So the reason for this, is my wife's entertainment.
Even though I hope someday to see Steve Jobs' arraingment.
She's using a treadmill to lose all her 'fat'.
Whilst watching, besides her, is my cute pet rat.

The TV, it bounces, as she takes her steps.
So something more stable would let her do more reps.
'A music thingy' is what she asked for.
My wallet was empty, the treadmill made us poor.

This offer of a nano, well, it sparked my mind.
For 'sabermetrics' heart, is truly very kind.
An Ipod nano, is a good product at heart.
Even though I believe, they stink like a fart.

No matter how much I hate, the Mackin of tosh...
All of Apple products have never been a wash.
I guess I have to get around how much I hate the brand.
As my wife, she will love it, and think it is grand.

I opened my own sub shop, back only a year ago.
Never knowing, in a year, the economy would blow.
Someday I'll afford the things we dream for.
But for the timebeing - we'll remain... the poor.

So that risk I spoke of earlier, it's because I want this.
But in order to give humor, on the Apple product I diss.
I know, deep down the nano is a great tool.
And for not being open minded, you may think me a fool.

But for me, I'd take a Zune, or a Sandisk, or any other player.
But I can't even afford to get one at the state fair.
For my wife, I would like this, it would truly impress her,
And she would be so happy, she might let me undress her.

This poem is really getting a tad bit too long.
And for me, the nano, would be very wrong.
But for someone in need of the love of music,
I guess a quick poem and some time just might do the trick.

Writing this poem, eating pizza, and drinking a Snapple,
I hope you enjoyed my degrading of Apple.
For a nano, my wife would love to have sure.
Even though Itunes will surely keep us poor.

The nano would save me from spending some cash.
Even though I like to see Macs in the trash.
Please vote for me, and my wife; give us a chance.
Because her own Ipod nano, would make her dirty-dance.

Mine just snapped! and I had one made a local shop. I could of settleted this instantly a few days ago. Let the games begin

I never said poetry, that was Douggie's idea. I just want to be sure I'm not giving a brand new clutch cable to someone who just "wants" it rather than needs it.

So far, it sounds as though yamaman is in actual need...

nonono I can't. the one I had made works OK, but I do wonder what the OEM one would do for me or if it would feel different. I don't think it will feel any different though. If there's no one else that needs it, I'll take it and put up my brand new custom made one for free
