Maxim X Parts

Well, I finally had to call it. The Maxim X was taking more time than I had, which meant that there was not as much time for riding as I would have liked. So, it has been sold. :-( I did manage to acquire some parts along the way which I no longer need. As I run across more I will post them, but here is what I have for now.

All prices are plus whatever the actual shipping charges are. First come, first served. Send me a PM with your zip so they are in time/date order and I don't have to look for postings to see if someone else was first. I will mark off items as they are sold.

1 Valve Cover including the chrome bolts - $25

1 HCP6279SET4 aftermarket allen-head stainless-steel carb BOWL DRAIN SCREWS, set of 4 I got from Chacal:$ 20.00 for set

1 Temp Chrome Bucket (good cond) - $10

1 Coolant Tank (no cap) - $20

1 Thermostat Housing - $15

1 Set of Handlebar Weights - $20

1 HCP6371 (Fuel sensor tank block-off used once) - $5

1 HCP3010 (Petcock block-off used once) - $5

1 Ignition Switch w/ Key (harness is slightly melted, but it was working when removed) - $25 SOLD

1 Set handlebars (slightly bent on left side, it took me a while to even notice it) - $15

1 Set of Driver Footpegs (fair to good condition) - $25

1 Tach for the '86 Model (9.5K Redline) - They are posted on ebay for $60, I'll sell them to members here for $50 each SOLD

2 K&N Oil Filters - $5 each SOLD

1 Carb set (in pieces I had to drill out two of the pilot jets, one choke plunger has the tab broken, that is, they need parts to be complete but the bodies and chrome hats are good, I will put each one with it's parts in a zip lock bag so you don't get a box full of parts) - $75 - SOLD

1 HCP215 Aftermarket ALTERNATOR BRUSHES WITH HOLDERS SET I got from Chacal: $ 15.00 for set - MIA for now

1 HCP9819 Aftermarket front brake master cylinder glass brake fluid level SIGHT WINDOW, correct size and thickness crystal-clear mineral glass. NOTE: Fits all models that use an o-ringed and c-clip retained original sight window. Does NOT fit original master cylinders that have a pressed- and glued-in sealed sight window. $ 4.00 - MIA for now

1 Speedo Chrome Bucket (some wrinkles) - $15 SOLD

1 Tach Chrome Bucket (couple minor scratches, in pretty decent shape) - $25 SOLD

Added some new parts and learned that the alternator brushes and master cylinder sight glass are MIA at this time. Those buggers were on my workbench and have disappeared.

 

Only 1 tach left of the two I had.

 

LED blinkers still available? I'd be very interested in them if you have a photo, or the controller needed for the LED conversion. Thanks!

anywhere i can get the complete factory exhaust from? I am havive a hard time finding it anywhere i looked for days on the net but nothing. I figured that some1 must of put a header on a maxim x and has the factory exhaust laying around somewhere. Jimbo

 

Jimbo... Sorry, stock exhausts appear to be the holy grail for the X's. If you do find one, chances are it would cost a pretty penny. MAC used to make a replacement, but I think they have stopped. You might get lucky and find one of those if you can't find a stock one.

Howdy Joe, are your K&N oil filters for the spin on adapter? If they are, are they the same HP-1008 type that the XJ700N takes on their spin on's? If so, I'll take those! =)

I do have the ignition. I did have a helmet lock, but it went with the bike.
