    After a few long days was finally coming to a close on my top end rebuild. And then this

    I wasnt even at the torque spec yet!! Im gonna have to find/get another one(chacal) and def wont be starting her back up tomorrow as planned.

    ahhhhh just want to burn the xj but want to ride again sooo bad.

    Sadly that's not that rare. Often the surprisingly small threaded stud end strips out of the case metal for even more "fun', sometimes several 'go' at once.. Total teardown needed ?

    yeah Im thinking Im going to have to take it all back apart for this and be really careful not to rip any of my new gaskets.

    Sorry to see that bud....you might want to consider a set of the bolts to keep a repeat performance at bay. I have had in the past issues with retorqueing old bolts and the numbers not being correct due to flex and corrosion.
