XJBike Members are the best!!!

XJBike Members are the best!!! I lost my torque rod bolt sometime last Wed. Later that afternoon at really low speed on a dirt road (Thank you, Higher Power, good karma, XJ Gods, good luck, what ever) I applied rear brake and all hell broke loose. The peddle did a nose dive, everything went bang and the bike stopped. my first thought was of brake shoe de-lamination, which I thought was weird because I just put new shoes on in late Feb early March, then I saw the real reason, my torque rod was almost touching the ground and the brake rod was wrapped around the axle. My bike now had an emergency brake that I couldn’t release without a wrench. (I had one) I posted here on XJBikes “Help!! I need a brake Rod for a XJ750 Seca” within an hour I got a few replies with some suggestions from members and one from xyxj650 telling me he had one that would work. Twelve hours later it was in the mail and today (Sat.) it showed up and is already on the bike. XJBike members really are the best. Thanks again to all, I’m going riding. Ethan

 

Cool I'm glad someone was able to help you so quickly. I have found a lot of help on the forums as well

 

I use the forum search all the time for tech problems and when I can't find what I'm looking for the members always give me the answers or steer me in the right direction.
