They're 12.75 inches eye-to-eye. Brand new, still in the box, all the hardware still wrapped. Good quality items, never used. Paid $120 + shipping for them. Will sell for $90 + shipping. Make sure they're the length you need. DAMHIKT!
    thx,
    baz

    Hello Baz666,

I need new shocks for my XJ900. Will you post to Melbourne, Australia?

Sure, I'll post them anywhere. But make sure 12.75 inches is the right length. I was going to put them on my XJ900 but not being the tallest person in creation, I found they raised the bike just that tiny bike more than I'm comfortable with. I guess my old shocks were pretty worn and sagged. So I'm going with something a bit shorter. I just hope the back tire doesn't whack the inside of the rear fender when I hit bumps! I guess we'll see. Anyway, get back to me if you're sure these are the right length. Thx,
    baz

I just checked for shipping rates and the cheapest by far is Canada Post. They charge $C60 to ship to Melbourne from Toronto. I does take 7 to 10 days but not bad considering everyone else is asking around $C200.

I measured the shocks. Mine has the original ones, which are stuffed - one has a rusted piston. It was 12 1/4 inches eye to eye. The rear end on all XJ900 models appears to be the same, so they should fit fine. I'm 5' 9 1/2" tall.

Wonder if I should ask the forum if the extra 1/2 inch of travel downwards would matter? I have seen something about travel limiters. Should we go to PM about payment etc?

Maybe I'm just paranoid because I'm about the same height. However, I like to have both feet flat on the ground and my knees slightly bent. Which is probably why I feel more comfortable riding my XJ650 Maxim. I don't think the extra half inch of travel should make a diff as long as you feel comfortable adding it to your ride height. I guess it's not much. Oh hell, maybe I'm just a big sissy. I don't know. Anyway, they're yours if you want them. You can make the payment through paypal to my email address baz666@yahoo.com. Oh, and I'll need an exact address to tell the man in the little red transit van.
    thx,
    baz

    Thanks Baz,

The extra half inch of travel will help with our roads. Is C$90 for the shocks, and C$60 for the post correct? I can send payment via paypal in Canadian dollars. Will tomorrow be ok? My pay cheque goes in over night toight. My address on the paypal statement is correct. I'll PM it to you as well.

Your posties use Transit vans too?

Yup our posties use those red transit vans too.
So yeah, it's $90 for the shocks and $60 for the shipping so a total of $150 Canadian. Tomorrow's fine for the paypal. It's 10am here so I'll get them into the post this afternoon.
    thx,
    baz

    Thanks Baz,

Payment via paypal just done now. Think you get an email about it too. Yes we ride upside down here, as well as on the other side of the road.
