It's that time of year again.
Dave is hosting the clinic again since he's easy to find and has plenty of shade trees (all around him)

It's Saturday August 1st this year. Same basic format as last year.
We don't plan on a front end rebuild this year though. Last year we did steering bearings, fork seals, wheel bearings, and brake pads on Dave's 86.

I'm not the host, but wanted to invite fellow XJers to the clinic
Dave Rea is the host. He is just east of Allentown PA off I-78.
It's about an hour ride for our Philly friends.

The CC would kick off at 8:00 AM with coffee and pastries, followed by lunch at noon (burgers and dogs) and then dinner in the evening for those who make it that long. Liquid refreshments served all day, if drinking beer, PLEASE drink responsibly. There will be plenty of BS-ing along with some bike tuning thrown in. Two minutes from his place is a Cycle Gear store with loads of gear and accessories, open till 9:00 I believe. Following the CC we usually go for a group ride to a convenient location for everyone to split and go their separate ways. Of course you can show up or leave whenever!

If you can, RSVP to ( davey28 at rcn dot com ) or myself designermike2000 at yahoo dot com so we know how many to expect (even if you aren't sure).

PS – ALL bikes welcome. ..You know who you are )

Put me down as a most likely. It's a bit of a hike for me but we can't seem to get a Baltimore date going.

I'll do a house call
The family is taking a mini vacation to the inner harbor July 23-27th

The wife frowns (big time) on bike wrenching while on vacation though

Do you guys have anything specific that needs fixing or just a standard tweaking....and chatting with fellow XJers

I believe I'm changing a set of throttle shaft seals which will leed to a bench sync too.
Maybe a valve clearance check but not sure if that bikes going to make it down though.

    Just a reminder....next weekend.

I'll post directions during the week when I have Dave's address handy.
    It couldn't be easier though.
Exit 59 off eastbound I-78 to summit lawn puts you about two blocks away.
Westbound you have to take exit 60B ...

I'm planning to be up there around 10 to 10:30. Google is showing 2 and a half hours. I can barely make work at 8 a.m. and that's only 40 minutes down the road.

I'm going to try to be there, assuming the wife hasn't already made plans for us, which I don't think she has. Coopersburg is just a stone's throw away, so I can probably at least pop in quick just to meet a bunch of you guys if nothing else.

I really wish I could be there, but I can't as you already know. I will be there in thought, though!!!! Say hello to everyone for me, and I wish everyone a safe and uneventful ride in and back.

    Nice list, tubabone!

    Sonora CC tuba
    Conn 88H trombone
    BBb Helicon
    2 half-size sousaphones

    a gazillion banjos
.....and yes, I play 'em all.

It's looking like I'll be able to stop by for a bit around noon-ish. The wifey wants to hit the mall in the morning while the baby is napping and then it's my turn when she gets back. I have a lot to squeeze into a couple hours though. Gonna pick up two more bikes tomorrow around 2pm or so, but I should be good to hang out for at least an hour I'd say.

Thanks again for the great time guys. I'm glad I made the ride up. It was also nice to get the bike out for a good long run. Althought tomorrow I might regret it.
