Exhaust diameter?

    I have an 82 650 maxim. If I look for harley exhausts, do I need to find ones that are 1 3/4" diameter? Thanks!!

    i would use your headers and exhauset piece that goes from the 2 into 1 if that makes sense that just cut and weld the harley pipes on.... might wanna get other peoples input as well......

    Guess I should say that I am going to keep the exhuast and just want to replace the mufflers. I am shopping around on ebay and want to order the right ones.

    yeah then just cut the old ones off and weld the new ones on.
