I bought a 85 Maxim on Monday, and I have my first question for the group. The bike has a highway bar on it, but no pegs on the bar (see the attached image.) When I search online for highway pegs, they come without brackets or with brackets/clamps that appear to be meant to connect to the frame. Can someone point me in the right direction for pegs/clamps that will work with the highway bar on my bike?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve

I've never seen a highway peg that would go on a cross bike bar, they're all designed to mount to a bar running in the plane the wheels are on.

I'd say you're missing some parts.

Mine has a square bar and it has a bolt that holds them to it. You could drill a hole it the round pipe and bolt them on to the round bar. Here is a picture of mine as it is now.

Here is another way to go also you could weld the bolt in the round pipe and screw the square stub on it then the pegs.
