    just new to the xj club i brought an xj of a friend an 80 mod dont know if it is a seca or maxim can any one give me a heads up please by the way i live in australia as i know some models were not released here

    Need the first 5 or 6 digits of your vin and we'll decode it. Or, you can browse through the photo gallery and find one that looks like yours.

    It's a 1. So you are hte proud owner of a 1980 XJ650G which makes it a Maxim. Sold in OCE what ever country or continent that is.
    Frame # starts at 4K1-000101 and goes to 010000 so doing the math I get yours to be the 914th made in/for that country.

    nup , i googled oce ages ago and its got something to do with pollution control sorted in blocks around the globe [a big dollar organization] ,,, i think i put it up somewhere here on da forums...

    Finally,
    Well alot can happen in a few moths on the net , a link to all to read about OCE and its implimentation and what it is...

    Tis why some m/cycles have different jets and states of tune in different countries ect.

    It took me a hour to drag this out , i remember seeing a site soley listed for OCE and who/where and why , it seems to have disapeared , anyways just for info's sake....
