seized axle(finally out)

    82 650 seca shaft drive got the forks rebuilt,move on to something easy remove back tire well not so much the axle is seized in brake hub has anyone encountered this problem any advice much appreciated thanks mac

    I'd say spray it down with some Kroil or PB fluid and after letting it soak whack at it with a rubber mallet.

    Yeah it was totally seized in brake hub, I ended up strapping to tree with a block of wood in between swing arm and tree and wedging a 2x4 in between brake hub and shock mount and strapping around that to other side of swing arm,of course I had to remove both mufflers then went at it with board and BFH on the castle nut flush with threads and it finally popped and then could drive out axle holy cow what an ordeal!! All this after heat and PB blaster and jacking with it for a couple hours,finally went and talked to local bike shop and he said you gotta get it solid,and so it continues getting closer to a real ride :D
