    i just scored a running maxim 650 and i think im goin to make a bobber.
    any ideas????? thanks
    what is the model on a maxim xj650??

    I suggest you search the forum for the word "bobber". Then sit down with a large pitcher of whatever quenches your thirst and start reading. You will soon develop a sense for what you prefer and then it's time to hit the net and heat up the plastic in your hip pocket. There are lots of great ideas with pictures on this site.

    As far as the model number goes you need to collect your serial number from the neck of the frame and write it down. The s/n is on a silver foil sticker but if the sticker is missing the number is also stamped into the steel frame, again on the neck of the frame. Search the forum for "vin" and you will be able to answer your own question in short order.

    ok here it is hahaha, tomorrow we are going to get the frame rails welded in place and start getting it ready for mock assembly. Also we are going to figure out the seat and rear fender
