This has been a bloody awful week.

Problems getting my driving licence re-newed meant a trip to a clinic for eye test and blood pressure. Like an idiot I was honest with the health questions which mean't a trip to the hospital to get a letter from a quack saying I was fit to drive. One ECG later and the quack went into panic mode. Got my licence re-newed alright but I am now on an anti-coagulant which means no beer no wine, just as a mate bought me a bottle of my favourite malt in Gibralter, and blood tests every week.

My bike is still in the workshop on the coast, dreading the bill, and it's going to cost me 600euros to get her registered and legal in Spain. Gawd, I do hope the old woman doesn't find that one out just as she's coming round to the idea of me and the bike.

    Faighaigh.

PS. No, I'm not going to post the whiskey to Oz Hoonz.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Faighaigh. Things get tough some times. Especially when dealing with government bureaucracy. They have way and sometimes I think a love of making you jump through flaming hoops. Hope things look up for you and wish you help in dealing with your health problems.

I'm sorry to hear of the problems you've faced Mick, but I am glad that the doc has caught a problem before it became much worse! Clots are nothing to ignore, they will kill you! I'd far rather a lean spell than to drop dead! Tough break but far better than the alternative. Besides, this won't interfere with your riding so it can't be all that bad. Chin up mate, glad your still around, the sweetheart will understand the need to continue riding. Mine does anyway (of course being grouchy untill I've had my daily ride helps).

    Note to self.

Just because self is feeling miserable and sorry for ones self does not mean it's necessary to inflict it on other's. Look on the bright side, the Glen Morangie can sit un-opened till the brother next visits when he can drink it for self.

    Hoonz.

Thanks but I shall keep the bottle for medicinal purposes. I was told years ago by a cardiologist that a wee dram was benificial (well he was a Scot) as it had the same effect as trinitrate. I shall begin treatment this evening.

    Mick.

Nothing at all wrong with getting some good advice, from the Doctor, that will keep you dancing and smiling on the green and sunny side of the old sod!

You should try Irish Mist Hoonz it's very much like Drambuie but better, well my old fella was from County Cork. He used to drink Drambuie with a large whiskey in it but he never tried it with the Mist.

    Mick.

Ps. Your right of course fellas.
