    I have a 1985 XJ 700 X Maxim.
Should I use leaded or unleaded fuel. I was told to use regular gasoline but am not sure if that is leaded or unleaded.

    Regular gas = leaded.

You've listed Abu Dhabi as your location, so I'm guessing that you can still get non-racing leaded gas.

If you can get it at normal octane levels (90ish), I doubt it would hurt your engine.

My original sticker in my cover actually calls for leaded. i have been running unleaded for 2 years of multiple octane levels in a 50 mile a day bike and have never had a problem.
