    help with KREEM

WELL WELL WELL ....... I guess I will wait another week to get this bike on the road last step and the worse one. I went to a Yamaha dealer soince I got all my carbs cleaned and tunned and everuthing else to do with the carbs and I decided to clean the tank so I would not have carb issues but now that I listened to the parts guy at my local Yamaha shop I did the 2 first step of the Kreem treatment and it went ok WELL WELL WELL the tank lining process did not go as good. IM debating wheter to put acetone in to get rid of the Kreem liner and just go with the tank witout liner I only have rust and no holes in my tank. Or i should just leave it as is and put inline filters to pick up the liner pasts that will come off please help I want to get this bike on the road ..

WEll !!!!!!!! I did the 3 step thing with KREEM KRAAP and the last step I obviously messed it up ., NOw my question is do i really need to seal the tank meaning do i really need to tank line the tank I have no holes or leaks in my tank it seems very clean and free of rust right now . I have acetone in it to remove that Kreem tank liner and its dissolving slowly once im done removing that liner should i bother to line it if i have no holes or leaks ......

I think you have a cocktail of chemicals in there, which need to be stabilized before you put gas back in.

On 2 wheels... just lost my hat.
I have heard people recommend POR15 or something like that... much better than kreem.

I used the kreem tank liner kit on mine. I had rust holes big enough that I had to do some spot welding before I could do the acid etching. I have been told I should have just got another tank cause lining it hurts the value of the bike but I couldn't find another tank that wasn't a over priced piece of crap. I have used kreem before on another bike it was still good several years later when I got rid of it. I would say if you have no holes, you just do the acid etching and not have to line it.
