I just started having troubles with my Seca Turbo. The main red warning light is flashing, and I get one of the picture warnings coming on, but I don't know what the particular one means as I have no manual.

The icon is a picture of a tear-drop shaped liquid falling, with waves radiating outward from the drop.

Any explaination would be INCREDIBLY helpful, because right now I'm stumped as to what the problem is. Thanks in advance.

I believe you are describing the 'Low Brake Fluid' indicator.

According to the owners manual, it indicates low brake fluid in the master cylinder for the front brake.

    Best,

Gee, I would have thought that a tear drop shaped liquid falling with waves radiating outward would have been totally understandable (NOT)! What were they thinking? Of course, on the other hand, what would have been a better icon? Thoughts?

It's one of those things that is only understandable if you've actually seen the icon before. It's one thing though if it were the universal sign for say "low oil" (indicated by that container with an oil drop coming out at the end of the spout) or "low gas" (indicated by the gasoline container). But yeah, that certainly isn't something that one sees everyday and thus is not easily recognizable.

    The words:

    LOW
    BRAKE
    FLUID
Very, very small might have done the trick in certain markets...

or a small image of a bike tumbling down a hill...

I've seen two half circles representing brake drums, but that would send the rider to look at the back tire instead of the front fluid levels.

I suppose they made the silly assumption someone might read the Owner's Manual :p
