My Maxim is done. For this year. I like it. Just needs the clutch cable adjusted and the carb tinkered with a bit. (needle clip?) Runs and, Choppersprocket, I will be making a running video of it for you. Kudos to him for the awesome welds on the exhaust and the insanely sweet manifold setup. I need to weigh it now because I am curious how much I shed from the stock bike...

    details:
polished fork lowers and top triple/risers
    Harley Sportster Sport mufflers
    Bed-liner'ed tank
    IT465(?) Headlight modded with 55w H3 bulb
    Gel battery
    simplified wiring
    clock box battery holder
2-into-1 alloy manifold with 35mm Keihin roundslide
    shaved stock rear grab handle
    velocity stack
    polished levers
    modified flush taillight
painted everything, frame, wheels, cam cover, bodywork, bottom triple, brackets, swingarm, brake drum, rotor center, etc.

    watch for the video soon!

Old tank was a major leaker, so was the second, third times a charm...tough and durable paint and easy to touch up...blends well enough with the rest of it...emblems anyone?

if you don't end up putting badges on, personally I'd just bondo the sides of the tank up so they're nice and clean, repaint and call it a day =)
