Someone who tried to drill open the bowl to access the starter jet?

Or drilled through the starter jet from above, to try and clean it out.............

We'll see how long the JB Weld will hold, Robin.

    Holy fuel bowl hole, Batman!

I have this stuff called "seal-all" that I got at the parts store, and it seems to work well with everything. even petro resistant.

It was closed and only recently started to leak, so maybe your second option caused the hole.
I thought it could be a casting flaw, but it's perfectly round.

That's the reason you should Chuck the Drill Bit to a measured depth, or Tape the Drill Bit for a visual marker of how far into the stock you have drilled.

You can Drill the spot where it came through the Outside of the Bowl to the Outside Diameter of a B-B, or a small Bearing ball.
Set the B-B or Bearing on the Hole and Seat it into the Hole with a Drift and a few Taps of a Hammer.

Once the B-B is set into the Hole ... Heat and Sweat with Silver Solder

Ought to check and see if the starter jet is drilled that diameter too. If so, might not be worth fixing the hole.

Reminds me of a user .sig I saw on another online forum I used to inhabit:

"You only need two tools in your box: WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it's supposed to, use the WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use the tape."

I don't really know, seeing as how the person in question is a pinsetter mechanic...

You need some Aladin brazing rod go down to your welding supply store tell them you need to gas weld some aluminum. I've used it on many cast alum. parts it works really well just don't get it too hot. 8O you'll end up with a lot bigger hole.

    I could just send you a Bowl that's not drilled-out ... yet!

I have some Fuel Bowls that are U-G-L-Y with Varnish and Drain Screws I failed to get out.

5-Bucks plus shipping and the Bad Dream is yours!

Your offer sounds good, even with frozen drain screws. I'm surprised you haven't drilled and extracted them already. Still, I cleaned up the area and pushed down a dab of JB Weld into the hole just to have done with it. I got to get riding! A few months will tell if it's good.
    Thanks!
