I have a 1981 Yamaha XJ 650 Maxim. The starter button fell off and I just got a new one that should fit. How do I put it back in the starter assembly? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Is it just the plastic button? If so, just take the two screws out of the switch housing (maybe 3 screws) and you may have to loosen your throttle cable. There should be some small screws holdin the internal components in. Just watch how stuff comes apart and reverse the process.
