Maybe it is odd that it was last used as a platform to throw stones at Israeli soldiers?

I see bent forks and a half rotted through exhaust muffler on the left side. Chrome mirrors are out of place on it too.

Some of the owner's manuals for the early 80's bikes sold in the US had "Use Regular Leaded Gas" printed in them.

    THEY LIED

This was done as a marketing move due to unleaded still being less popular and not found everywhere.

All XJ engines are designed to run on unleaded fuel.

" Runs on leaded gas but must use lead substitute with gas mixture. The power of this bike is amazing. Once restored to running condition, this bike will plow any road you choose to mow down! No B.S.! Very powerful 4 cylinder motor. Once clocked at over 110 MPH !!!
    Not for beginners! "

Umm, the seller is on crack?

Hard to find a 750 that can go 110....

Those 7 years just collecting dust must have been hard on that Bike.

    But, you never know.
A talented wrench might be able to "Dis-neglect" it, wave some magic wrenches over it and come-out ahead.

Alot of those Bikes SIT ... because they need extensive Carb work or have an issue requiring LABOR the Owner cannot do and would have to pay for.

My 550 hits 100 with enough gear left in 6th to probably hit 115... a 750 should easily hit 110

You say that like bent forks are a bad thing.

I saw a craigslist ad recently for a Honda CM400. Claimed it was a collectable. O'really?

for the record, the sticker on the inside side covers of my 550 Secas ('81 and '83) say that it's supposed to run on 91 research octane leaded fuel.

They run just fine on unleaded as all of you already know. That yutz is trying to make the bike sound more special than it is.
