Heres a few pics of my 81 650 max, I got a 750 tank, custom paint, I mixed up a batch of the old yamaha blue black, with tthe whit flames and a red pinstripe, kind of an old school look. btw white stripes running down the side covers is just masking tape clamping down the badges, which i painted white and red to match the flames. I also have some red leds under and around the motor for night riding.

Let me know what you guys think

Looks damn good - sure makes me yearn for having a garage and getting around to working on mine! Absolutely GOT to find me a 750 tank.....

Nice!!! So you did the paint yourself? Do you have a lot of experience with flames and pinstriping? Looks great...

Thanks for the comments,I did the lay out myself, but i got a pro painter who owed me a favor to actually do the spray. I've done flames before on my old bike and a few guitars as well as a bit of striping work, nothing too serious though.

Nice looking bike you have there. Any chance you could get a good side view and front view of the bike out in the sunlight so we can see the size of the tank a little better. ;-)
