Hey guy's im getting ready to start bobbing my 82 750 maxim. Was wondering if anyone could help me on what tubing wall thicknes your using. I found Dom tubing but don't know if I should go with .065 thickness or .120 thickness. Thanks for your help.

.120 is nearly 1/8" thickness, pretty beefy. .065 is under 1/16th by that same token.

No idea which people use but the near 1/8" thick seems overkill to me.

I would go with the thicker stuff, you can grind a good bevel on it & then a nice bead of weld.

You should be able to find tube with an .083 wall.

I'm not sure what it is in American money but I used 1" seamless with a 3.2mm wall thickness, this is much heavier than the original frame but definitely the right stuff for the job
