occasionally when my bike dies at a stop sign or red light (not enough revs when i let out on clutch) it won't kick the starter circuit unless i put it in neutral. I've bypassed the kick stand switch. What is left? Is there a clutch switch. If so why will it start in neutral without clutch engaged?

There is a neutral switch (which also turns on the light) a clutch lever switch and the sidestand switch. It WILL start in neutral, it's supposed to. It will also start in gear (provided the sidestand is up) IF the clutch is pulled in (and the clutch switch is working.)

The whole purpose of the safety circuit is twofold: To keep you from starting the bike in gear AND to keep you from riding away with the sidestand down.

Ok, if in neutral other switch's are bypassed. If not in neutral both stand switch and clutch switch come into play. I'll reinstall the extension rod for the side stand and check the clutch switch. The problem lies there i believe.

I've discovered that the search button "is" your best tool. Apparently someone has removed the clutch switch from my bike and hid the wires.
    Thanks
