Welcome and I would like to say you found yourself a very nice looking ride and you found a great site here! There is tons of tips and pointers to be found here along with many how to do's. If you ever need any help there are lots of people here to help. Also I would suggest you add your bike and location in your signature. That way if you do need help people will know what kind of bike you have and maybe there would be somebody in your area that would be willing to help. Again welcome to the site and welcome to the xj world!

Especially if he ever wants to use the forward controls.

Thats my youngest on bike-he's in love with it. 9300 miles on it, and have no idea on compression. Does run well, no smoke. Will add to sig. some time. I have been fighting with avitar tonight.

Keep it in tip top shape and maybe he'll let you take it for a spin when he grows into it.

Had to go on a little ride before putting up for winter. Just kept to side roads and my wife even hopped on. Feels comfortable and goes nice. Going to be a long winter...

Congrats n Welcome. It looks really nice..copper colour i suppose. I have a 86 XJ700 all stock. Yours with forward controls should be comfier on long trips. I rode mine since Feb this year, few times on HWY to push her..clocked 100mph could not make more as its windy..She stays solid on the road..Windshield really helps. Curious how it sounds..if u get a chance put a Youtube video of sound. Follow the winterizing procedures to have a good spring start. Good luck.

Thanks to all- I think I will really enjoy it come summertime. Not too sure if those pipes will stay on it tho. This was the only video I did before putting it away.
