Sweet Glenn, when i type XJ into eBay i get parts for his
    jag. :?
Nice looking solid hack, BMW panniers? Clean bike with the matching paint job. What more can you ask for.. 8) [hence the smiles] 8)

Would be great when you have time to post some closeup pics of the sidecar suspension and mount points.
I would love to add a hack to my bike, where i am it's cheaper to just build your own.

    Rob.

Darn, i really thought i was going to see a supercharged XJ bike..

Yea that supercharged subject title was a bit misleading. I will take a few photos of the sidecar mounts and the steering dampener and post them soon. Will also downlaod a few shots of the other 750 RL I am working on. It is serial # 13 and was pretty rough when I got it. Just sprayed the frame so it should start going back together this week.

Here are some photos of the sidecar mounting. The clamps are from Velorex. I had some extras so just weled them to the siecar frame. Everything has a lock nut or a castle nut and cotter pin. When working with sidecars "If in doubt, make it stout". The steering damper if from a VW with a heim joint to the clamp on the forks.

    :D MINT looking machine!

Is that fairing off an FJ or did Yamaha just make them all similar around that time?

Yes that is a stock fairing. The windscreen is a Givi, with a upturned lip that is 2 inches taller than stock.
