Is it possible to put a seca 900 crank in a Maxim X i have the 750 liquid cooled one from canada WHOOT WHOOT because in theory it would bring my displacement to an 878cc

Just checking your theory, you know a 900 USA is 853 CC ??
And the MaximX has a water pump, is it crank driven?
And the primary gears need to mesh with the clutch basket?

And that much extra stroke would make your pistons hit the head?
I don't know these things, just askin'

I dream of a full liter Seca 900 !! somehow.

the water pump is not crank driven its driven off the clutch basket.
im not sure if the primary gear would mesh thats another problem.
as for the extra stroke im going to be making an Aluminum gasket so to speak that would increase the cylinder length allowing the stroke to be longer

This thread caused me to dig up this ^^ old thread.
Any competent machine shop can bore out the cylinders, or increase the wrist pin size, a little. Nobody is going to modify a crank.

    So , here's the numbers :

    An "X" has 68 MM bore, "900" crank has 60.5 stroke = 878.4 CC

    A "900" with "400" pistons would be 69 bore and 60.5 stroke = 904.4 CC

    a "900" with the 4th overbore "400" pistons 71 X 60.5 = 957.6 CC
    A 900 with an extra 100 CC's all done with factory parts !! :D

    Thinkin' about it.

But I'm also pondering some other engine mods that will likely cause the whole thing to disintegrate anyway, so my project may not be the one to base your hopes on.

Of course, if it does work, I might be leaving some VMax owners reaching for a Kleenex....

Nitrous tends to have that effect.

Nitrous? That stuff's for hillbillies and dentists! Gimme some credit... If I'm gonna grenade a motor, I'm gonna use a little imagination.

Ps. The preceding statement was not meant to insult hillbillies OR dentists in any way. The banjo is a beautiful instrument and everyone likes a good root-canal, right?
