colortune plug??

    what is a "colortune" plug...i've seen it mentioned in a few posts and have no idea what it is or what it is used for...is it something i should have?? if so where do i aquire one? i'm new to the 4cyl bikes and have never heard of this b4 is it only used to tune 4cyl engines?

    It's basically a sparkplug with a window in the top so you can see the colour of the flame in the combustion chamber. This allows you to adjust your air:fuel ratio accordingly. Only really recommended for idle to off-idle though...

    i see these come in 10mm,12mm&14mm sizes, with various addapters, is it a 10mm plug with adapters or do you have to screw in an adapter for every size?? just wondering which is the most commonly used kit and the best way to buy one to get the most function from 1 tool, they also sell a 4 plug set... is that how you guys use it or do you do each plug individually?...thnx

    I have a single 12mm that I use on my 550s, and do each cylinder individually.

    I'm going to order up a 14mm for my 650 rather than use the adapter.

    Talk to Len (chacal) and he'll set you up. His prices are as good or better than anything I was able to find elsewhere. You'll want a 14mm for your 750.
