its very much ok, but it turns out the guy who had the tank i wanted stil has it, so I dont really need to look.

if you can get your hands on a maxim tank, its worth whatever you pay for it to have a bolt on beautiful looking tank.

i tried several other tanks on my bike, and didnt find anything that really fit the bike well.

I think an XS 750 tank might fit. Haven't tried it myself, but I have a couple tanks, maybe I'll give it a shot when the weather warms up a little and post back the results. The frame backbone design looks similar enough though.

I have the tank from a 650 Maxim on my 750 Seca - perfect fit, no mods needed. Looks al hell of alot better for my bobber project too. The Seca tank is probably the ugliest tank I ever seen. I'm glad I sold it (yes someone actually paid me for it!)

Swapped another member his 650 Maxim tank for my 750 Seca. REALLY happy with the 650 tank. He was going for a cafe style, sent me some pics and it looks GREAT...

Well I really like my tank, no badges no decals just shiny in original lightly metallic red, I like the way light catches it and highlights it's lines. It would go well with the cafe look, tho' its 19 litres.
