After you take off the rubber dust seal, remove the circlip.

Yes. You have to remove the brake lever to acces the dust seal. To get the circlip out you'll need a long nose reach circlip pliers.

If I've read this right, your discs may be worn and have a "lip" on the edge that hinders removing the caliper. Try "twisting" the caliper on the disc to push the pads apart.

You have removed both caliper mounting bolts, right?

Just crack the bleeder valve open a bit, and attach a grease gun to it. Block off the banjo hole... It takes just a few pumps and the piston is out. Just make sure you clean the grease up really good. Also, take the rubber o-rings out of the master cylinder and scrape all the crud out from the grooves.
