    I avoid tires with a continuous center groove, as they tend to grab at "rain grooves" which are popular here in the USA.

    I'm running Dunlop D404's on one XJ550R and Avon RoadRider AM26's on my other XJ550R.

    Both are excellent; the Avons are incredible.
