I have become a believer in Kroil oil. Throw away your PB blaster and other penetrating oils. Kroil is for real!!! Kind of hard to find but I found some on ebay for 7 bucks plus 7 shipping. BUY SOME!!

My fork plugs were rusted in place, BADLY. Tapped them down just far enough to clear the retaining rings, but they were NOT coming back up.

Figured I'd shoot some PB Blaster in there, ride the bike and they'd pop loose.

So I did-- for like 6 months. PB Blaster, JB80, Liquid Wrench, CRC "Freeze Off," WD40, every penetrating rust loosening product I could find went in there as I kept riding the bike. Caps still stayed stuck down.

Then somebody suggested Kroil. I figured since nothing else had worked it was at least worth a shot.

The Kroil came. I took it out in the garage, peeled loose the rubber caps, and shot some in. Turned to go back in the house and heard a "pop." One cap was free already. The other one popped up within about an hour or so. Just from the spring pressure, nothing else. Free.

That was what convinced me. I had watched every other product out there fail miserably.

I have been sold on Kroil for quite a while now. It has done things for me that no other penetrating oil has come close to. And not just on motorcycles.

i saw a "scientific" test on another site that said atf/acetone was the best but the acetone evaporated if not used right away and acetone is death for paint, some plastic and doesn't do rubber any good
i like my orange can but that home brew might have it's uses

It might have been coincidence, or they just surrendered under the 6 month onslaught.

Oh, so the other stuff loosened 'em up, like when your wife hands you a stuck jelly jar...

    OK, fine.

Then my son parked his mountain bike after getting the chain wet-- for three months (winter.) Chain rusted solid; the links would bend rather than move when pliers used. Soaked it in Kroil for a day or so without removing it from the bike even... It's FINE. Freed completely up.

It also helped my landlord and I remove a rusted-in heating element from my water heater this past spring, when nothing else was breaking it loose. (Kroil not deployed until I got involved.)

Gotta be somebody down under that carries it...

It is definitely an amazing product. I've been turning wrenches all my life in some form or fashion and had never heard of it. A neighbor gave me a can and said "Here try this". Now it's all I use.

Kroil is the sheezt its harder to find than PB. Try industrial supply houses, gun shops, refrigeration suppliers if your trying to buy local. Aircraft mechanic showed it to me when i worked at the depot for my uncle sammy. A little drop is usually all you need you dont have to drown the parts stuff is expensive.

Any concern with the order page not being "secure" other than it being in the web address... (Tried in IE and Firefox - No secure website icon/indicator).

ROTFLMAO...my favorite part of receiving the kroil box is reading the updated book of uses....I keep waiting for them to list as an aid to sex but they haven't done it yet.

I've used their rust evap for a while...it's acid in a controllable container...works pretty well for bringing zinc pieces back without damaging the finish if you rinse and dry it quickly.

Kroil oil is phenomenal!! I have been slowly restoring an abused 1982 XJ750RJ Seca(literally found a 1/4" socket left jammed onto a bolt) and I use Kroil oil on every struck fastener whether it needs it or not. I spoke with a Rep @ Kroil, great people. It's a good idea to sign up for their mailings, they regularly offer deals to their subscribers. I think they are in TN.

Metal - I had the same experience as you, plus you get no order receipt (flashes too quickly on the screen to print). Not sure if it is just the "Google deal" link or what as I get transferred to a HTTPS connection when starting the "plain vanilla" order process from their Web site. I emailed the sales office.
BTW - got my 2 king-size cans of Aerokroil today. 8) Only took 4 business days.

You can throw everything else away, seriously. Kroil works when nothing else does, period. I believe it was Alkasmeltzer who originally recommended it; I haven't looked back since it solved my problem (rusted-in-place fork caps.)
