Member "Joshua" is a deadbeat owes money do not trust him

Good morning, I have been very patient with this forum member "joshua" who I shipped a 81 Xj 750 steering damper to, prior to payment to show my good faith and build up some trust in a new buyer. Ripped me off, never paid, e-mails are ignored, etc etc, so a warning to any member who is planning on buying or selling parts to or from him. He lacks the honour a man should have at his age. He is a deadbeat. I have written the $25.00 debt off. I do not intend to pursue the collection of it. Just wanted to warm my fellow forum members so they do not have the same problem. thanx andreas

I had been PM-ing him about carb work and maybe meeting for a tune-up until this ^^ thread, where he seemed to lose his mind or something.

That sucks about his failure to pay. You're honestly pretty lucky that it was only 25 bucks, could have been a far more costly lesson.

 

well if he is alive and can't fork out $25 that he rightfully owes... He is definitely a boy with no honor or integrity. I feel sorry for the people who have to deal with a guy like this on a day to day basis.
Really sorry you had to deal with that. And sorry for anyone who has taken his mechanical advice before some of the big dogs had a chance to pipe in with real experienced knowledge like you, Fitz (who put me in my place about model specific advice), wiz, fab, and rick.
This site is really solid, for the most part, but I guess you can find a bad seed anywhere.

I’ve had GOOD luck here.
BUT I prepay with a check.
I figure if who I’m dealing with has been a member longer than I, then they are OK.

Note: I’ve had an ongoing (10 years) problem with ebay/paypal.
One of my smartA$$ :lol: friends knows it and gave me a ebay gift card for Christmas.

hrm... and I liked joshua.

I dont have many experiences buying things here, I bought some sportster pipes for 20 bucks, fitz gave me a shifter rubber, and Ibought a seca gas tank, never got screwed.

 

I have 19 private messages from him in which he was interested in my machining services and promised to buy certain items. Weeks turn into months and nothing further comes of it. He is a dreamer and a schemer and wasted a whole bunch of my time. My advice to others ... get your money in advance when dealing with this guy. TtR ... watch this guy - he is not trustworthy.
