having problems keeping it running

    well other than my yamaha i have a 1985 kawasaki zn700-a2 and i am mind boggled right now. it runs like its only firing on 3 cylynders but its geting spark on all of them. What could be the problem?

    Don't realy know that bike but something you can check. Pull the plugs see if one is wet could be flooding/float level may be off.

    +1,first thing to check are plugs.
    After that come back with the results and answers to
    these questions.
    When were the carbs last cleaned/balanced?
    Do you have a in- line fuel filter?
    How old are the plugs?
    When were the valves last adj.?
    Has anyone touched the pilot screws?
    Did you just fill the fuel tank ( water in gas )?

    Some of the experts will chime in with anything I missed.

    well it i didnt check for wet plugs. but im im sure its a carb fuel issue. the carbs havents been rebuilt that me or the preveious owner. so they could be way off sync.

    I would swap the plugs over see if the problem follow the plug.
