    Hello everyone,

I'm think of going with a wider tire on the rear. Right now I'm running a 120-90-18, bought a new set before the end of last season and only put 1,500 miles on them.

Would love to move up to a 130, 140 or 150 with out changing the ride height. The 130 I can get in the same aspect ratio, the 140 I would have to go down to 80 series but with limited tire choices and a 70 series more tire brands but lower profile. The 150 is a 70 series tire too.

I would just like to get some feed back on who's running what and if they had any fitment issues with the swing arm going any bigger than a 130.

I'm pretty sure you have to do some mods to run bigger than a 130, though i think one guy, namne's Plumber, who did it, pm him or something

sorry that's all I can give ya

I have a 130 on mine now and it fits just fine. I still have 1/4" between the tire and drive shaft. If I can re-do the cover on the drive shaft somehow, I'd go even fatter.

Has anyone tried running a 140 in the rear?? I found a 140-90-18 at a great price just a few miles away, I want to grab it but not if I half to cut and mod the drive shaft housing.

i was running a 130/80/18 michelin macadam until this weekend, had to replace it with a bridgestone dual compound 120/90/18 as the michy is longer being made, (apparently). but the guy at the tyre shop explained the the wider tyre on the narrow rim deforms the tyre enough as to give you a smaller patch of rubber on the road. but the feel i had with the wider tyre was something else. guess i'll just have to see how the bridgestone feels/wears.
