If so, how? I was thinking JB-Weld but wasn't sure if it would stand up to the gas for extended periods. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Hitachi HSC32 carbs. The pillar broke at the very base.

    TIA

I would think JB weld would work, does the package say that it is gas resistant?

Yes JB Weld works, if done meticulously clean.
And there have been other imaginative repairs that work.
There's an old thread on this- - - anyone ??

I've been reading some past posts on the issue. JB Weld was mentioned numerous times, but this post said it broke again:

Maybe because of having that carbs apart as he stated, but I don't want to risk getting stranded. I had enough of that with my XS650!

Can anyone chime in with how long JB Weld has held for their float pillar repair?

Anybody bought just one carb body? What was the cost? It's the far right carb (as you are sitting on the bike) that has the issue.

And here I thought I could have the float needle valves replaced and be back on the road soon. That's what I get for thinking!
