killswitch

    its pry my stupid fault but anyways. i put ape hangers on my bike. i have a different start button under my seat so i cut the wires to the killswitch to eliminate them and since i got my handle bars on and everything i cant get my bike to start. could it have anything to do with the killswitch wires. im confused..

    Yes, you are. You can't just start cutting stuff here and there and think it is all gonna work like factory. Search for one of the several wiring diagrams on here and see what you need to do.

    Get a wiring diagram like dwcopple stated. There are some important wires that you will be needing. It's always tempting to simplify the wiring on these bikes, I know. But there are just so many you can do without.

    How'd that go? I can't stand the rat's nest that is the wiring of my bike, but I don't have the time to trim it down...

    it doesnt honestly take that long if u make sure that you have what you need. that way you dont have to stop to do somthing else

    You will need to post your diagram of the simplified harness for those who need to do theirs also. We will need the wires color coated and relays, switches, lights, etc. labeled so as not to get us confused during there-wiring process (or start drinking to excess) Step-by-step would be nice, but not neccessary.
    And of course, photos, and more photos of it as you go. OK? LOL

    Or you can ignore the previous request and go about your business.
