I have an 83 XJ750K and the turn signals stay on steady at idle which is about 600 - 700 r's but when I throttle or choke it to about 1500 they start flashing but slow and then as I rev it they get faster. Can anyone help with what I should do here I have a PA state inspection coming up and last year they passed it because they worked at qa higher rev but I wanted to fix it. Thank you for your help, this forum and this site.

Check all the signals for good ground wires. Replace the flasher with an electronic one.

Sounds like your alternator might not be putting out enough juice to keep the flasher relay active. By the way, 600-700 rpm's is way too low for an idel speed, it should be up around 1,100 rpm's once the engine is warmed up. There's a big knurled-head screw in-between the two center crbs that can be used to adjust the idle speed.

Using an electronic flasher may or may not work properly, depending on the style obtained. And it certainly will defeat the turn signal self-cancelling feature.

I had a similar problem with my first SECA 750. I changes the old fuse box to blade fuses and that fixed the problem.
