Help with intake problem

    Hey guys, im replacing my intake boots and i ran into a little snag. My tank vent hose connects to a nipple on ONE of my intake boots. well all 4 replacement boots have nipples. any idea on how to seal up the other 3?

    You can probably get some vacuum caps from your local auto store.

    You can also cut 3 pieces of vacuum hose, about 2 inches long. Plug one end of each with RTV (black looks better). And presto, homemade intake caps. And the seal better then the real caps with no need for a clamp.

    I had a guy bring a Bike to me, once, that had short lengths of vacuum hose with short-shanked Cap Screws RTV-ed in the end on the Vacuum Pipes.

    The Cap Screws weren't Stainless but weren't steel. They were golden colored.

    He thought they were broken, ... because: "Nothing happened when he turned them."

    That hose that goes to from the petcock on the tank to the intake boot is NOT a vent. It's the vacuum line used to turn on the gas when your engine starts.

    Auto stores have them in all sizes.
