Everyone wants to do it. Especially black carb hats :p

How exactly is it done? I've seen loads of people here with painted carb hats, fenders, and other chrome pieces of the XJs. Whats the simplest way to do so?

rustolleum eh. See that everywhere. I use that as a primer? would love to get chrome painting.

did some googling and asking around at NAPA here, basically got told I need to electro-bath my parts. Ill definately test some rustolleum after a good 100 grit sanding.

    thanks guys

Self-etching primer promotes better adhesion to chrome surfaces. My Midnight Max came with chrome front turn signals, sanded the chrome with 240 grit sand paper, used self-etch primer and painted with a general gloss black in can.
