When was the last time anyone seriously competed with an XJ? And what kind of racing was it?

I have roadraced my seca 550 in Vintage Dinosaurs class at Willow Springs Raceway back from 1993 to 1997. This was back when there were any displacement bike size allowed. Essentially the class was run under superbike rules which was almost anything goes and DOT tires. Two years I was second in class, the last year I finished as class champion. So they do run rather well. My main competition was a guy on a FJ600 and a guy on a RD350. The other middleweight bike was a GPZ 550 who I enjoyed smoking. I once went by him in turn 9 with my knee planted on the ground and waved at him as I passed him during practice. There were a few guys out on 750's and one on a 1000. I was glad that my bike could handle the turns, that and I could get the best starts, very rarely was I second going into turn 1.
