Riding my Concours has spoiled me for windshields. I really like not being buffeted around by a 65 mph wind. Does anybody have a recommendation for a windshield or fairing that will fit an 81 XJ650?

    Pics would be great.

I have a Memphis Shades fats chopped windshield on my XJ750 and love it. I never ride without one. Some don't like the looks of a windshield on bike, but I've never had a problem with it.
I noticed an updraft from under the windshield (common with cruiser style windshields) and needed to fabricate some lowers to eliminate it. Memphis Shades also sells lowers just for that reason, but I just made my own.
There are so many different style of windshields for these bikes and some do a better job than others of course. Mostly the bigger, the better when it comes to windshields. It just depends how you like the looks of them.

I'm one of those that doesn't really like the looks of a windshield on a bike. However, when I bought my XJ650 it had a Plexifairing 2 on it. At 70 mph I only felt a slight breeze and in rainy or cooler temps it made a big difference. Unfortunately it was one of the many casualties dealt to the bike by my ex-wife and I haven't brought myself to buy another one.

    Bikebandit.com sells a Memphis slim 17" for $72.00
I'm thinking of ordering one. The wind on the interstate
    at 65mph kinda sucks.

I have a Vetter IV on mine and LOVE it. Got it off ebay for 29 bucks plus shipping. I did have to fabricate a mount as I was unable to locate the real deal. The one that came with the fairing was for a CB something. About 3 hours later I was stylin'
