    Man I need these side covers. Hard to find. Super Red is preferable but I can always paint a black one. This is the set with the chrome outer piece.

    There have got to be some of these babies somewhere.

    If you are still looking view my post for april 4th, 2007. Side covers will work from 1982 - 1985 maxim or midnight maxim. It took me months had given up looking. Then a few people contacted me with them. i bought all I found. Now I have extra.

    JLM.....when you say that the side covers "will work" you mean that they'll actually fit in place, but don't look the same?

    yes they do fit the same. The ones I have are from a 1982 xj750 maxim. As i said i looked for these for months then was contacted by two people so i bought them from both and now i have extra. I only needed the one battery side cover
