you don't say what bike you have, but if you have the floating callipers, they might not be moving freely.

Adding extra fluid is normal due to your pads wearing down and the caliper pistons moving out to compensate.

    Have you checked your pads??

Is the speedo cable rubbing on the front tire, perhaps? Make sure the rubber cable guide is present on the front fender, and that the speedo cable is routed through it. I am not trying to insult you, just guessing what may be causing your noise.

The speedometer drives can make noise. Dirt and road grime accumultes in them. They are a part of these bikes that most neglect. A through cleaning and lubrication may be needed. They are easy to dissamble and clean. A snap ring on the outside and the gears will come out, clean the dirt and grime with solvent and re-lube. While you are at it remove the speedo cable and clean and lube it. Look at the cable and see if it shows signs of fraying.
A bouncing speedometer needle is a good sign that the drive and cable need cleaning. If all that is in order and your speedometer is reading low it may need to be cleaned. BigFitz52 post a excelent article on speedomoter cleaning , but I can't seem to find it.
