I couldn't resist as $100 bike and grabbed this bike from a friend, It changed hands 3 times in the condition its in. The people responsible for the chopping had no business anywhere near a bike. The wiring had also fallen victim to the stupidity. After a new ICM, a temp. fuse box and tracing things out it now has ignition. I have yet to try to fire it, the carbs leak pretty bad and are next on the list. After the carbs I'll need to redo all work on the frame, the tank, seat, front brake and signals.

This is my first bike, but with the help of this forum and my dad I should be able to put this thing on the road.

Looks painful to ride!! I assume the previous owner wanted to sit low, but It doesn't look like the frame is very strong according to the photo. Looks like an interesting project for sure!

After grinding out some terrible welds and redoing them I think it will be safe. Triangles are strong shapes and I kind of like it.

Once I've made a seat for it, it will look much better. The seat should ad 2-3 inches depending on how I decide to do it when the time comes.

I was able to put gas on it today and tried to fire it and got nothing. I suspect the timing is out because its obvious someone has been under the timing cover messing with things. Anyone have a link to a good timing writeup?
