Anyone put anything larger on the back of a '82 Seca than the stock 120/90? Looks decent, but a slightly larger tire would look even better !

Pretty sure you can fit a 130/90 like the Maxim's have, but that's about it without major modifications and changes to handling.

It may "look better" but chances are it will handle worse with a slower turn in

Actually you will wind up with a quicker turn in. The wider tire will in all actuality become narrower. You are really limited to the width of the rim, No matter how wide the tire is when you pinch it between the rim it just rolls it around that much more. so in essense you wind up with a smaller contact patch. If you are looking for the ulitimate in traction, I would stick with a 120 rear and not the 130 rear. Keep in mind this is for the seca 550.

even though you will have a narrower upright contact patch would you not have more contact on turns because you can lean over further??

mind you i can drag peg on my 120 without running outta rubber
